Family-owned industrial services and waste management, based in Karratha.
GSD WA supports mining, oil and gas, marine, civil and government operations across the Pilbara and northern Western Australia. Father and son Scott and Darcey Collins founded the business in 2023, bringing together industrial experience, specialist equipment and local knowledge.
Scott Collins brought more than 25 years of heavy industrial services experience to GSD, including 17 years working in the Pilbara. His career spans mining, oil and gas, water and energy, with experience in onshore and offshore operations.
Scott and Darcey established GSD to provide specialist industrial services for high-risk environments. From Karratha, our team supports planned maintenance, shutdowns, remote projects and emergency response.
We plan for the conditions crews face on site: restricted access, hazardous materials, remote transport and tight shutdown schedules. We select personnel, equipment and project partners to suit the work.
Scott and Darcey lead GSD as a father-and-son team, combining practical industrial experience with operations and business knowledge.
Managing Director and co-founder
Scott began his industrial services career operating heavy industrial vacuum trucks. He brings first-hand knowledge of equipment, field conditions and the demands of industrial work.
His experience includes industrial service delivery and emergency response in the Pilbara. At GSD, his practical background informs the company’s approach to equipment and project capability.
Operations Manager and co-founder
Darcey co-founded GSD with his father, Scott. He holds a double degree in sport science and business commerce and works alongside Scott in the company’s leadership team.
His background also includes a community business development placement in northern Thailand. GSD’s recruitment notices name him as the contact for senior industrial operator roles in Karratha.

GSD uses heavy industrial vacuum units, combination drain-cleaning units, high-pressure water blasting systems and robotic hydro-demolition equipment. Our team selects the equipment for the material, access and recovery requirements.
Our compliance and waste tracking system supports records for material handling, transport, treatment and disposal. It includes waste movement documentation, safety data sheets, transport records and client reporting.

Our founders live and work in the region GSD serves. We take part in local schools, sport and business networks, and work with Aboriginal-owned businesses on industrial projects.
Our capability partners provide support in heavy transport, civil works, earthworks, traffic management and labour hire. These relationships help us assemble the resources each project needs while creating work for local businesses.
GSD draws on an advisory panel with experience in industrial services, hazardous waste, wastewater, mining, oil and gas, and infrastructure.
The panel also brings experience working with Indigenous communities in Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. Its role is to support project thinking, technical capability and culturally respectful engagement.
